Data we process and why
- Without an account: a captain name selected from a
pre-approved list, game access token, moves and game history, as required to
provide an online game. Free-form names and public text chat are disabled in
this version.
- Optional account: email address, random sign-in credential,
game access, statistics and achievements, to back up games and make them available
across devices. Nightsail stores no password.
- Optional notifications: a technical Web Push or Apple Push
token, used only to deliver requested game updates.
- On your device: local saves, settings and game access. These
remain local until you clear site data or delete the app.
- Technical operation: Cloudflare may briefly process IP address,
device/browser information and security logs when requests are made.
- Anonymous beta measurement: Nightsail stores only daily totals
for active and possible moves, completed games, and “Rematch?” signals. These
totals contain no game, account, device, or player identifier.
The legal basis is providing the game you requested; your consent for optional
push notifications; and our legitimate interest in a secure, functional service
for security.
Retention and deletion
- Games that never start are deleted after no more than 30 days.
- Completed online games, including their history, are automatically deleted
30 days after the game ends.
- Account data, statistics and active game access remain until account deletion.
A sign-in link is valid for 20 minutes and can be used once.
- Push tokens are removed when disabled or invalid, when a game is deleted,
or when the account is deleted.
- Anonymous daily beta aggregates are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Delete inside the app: Harbour → Information & Settings → Account →
“Permanently delete account”. This deletes email, credentials and statistics;
your seat in shared games is neutrally anonymised.
Signing out alone does not delete the account.
Recipients and international processing
Cloudflare provides hosting, database, email delivery and Web Push infrastructure.
Apple processes technical push data when iOS notifications are enabled. These
providers process data only to provide their functions. Processing may occur
outside Switzerland or the EEA under the safeguards offered by the provider.
Nightsail does not sell data and uses no advertising tracking or analytics profiles.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and object
to processing, and withdraw consent prospectively at any time. Email
lari@termi.cloud. You may also complain to
the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or your competent
EU supervisory authority.
Children and changes
Nightsail is not a Kids app. Changes to this notice will be published here with
an updated date.
